 Carina Ayiesha Brown

Transmedia Artist

Carina Ayiesha Brown, daughter of the beloved Eileen Callier, is a Transmedia Artist who views life as art and seeks to infuse it with love and passion. Her personal mission statement is “artistic inspiration from the inside out.” She’s been writing poetry since the age of 11 and began performing her poetry in high school. After graduating from Campbell High School in Smyrna Georgia, Carina attended Georgia State University and later transferred to California State University Dominguez Hills. While there, she majored in Art and minored in Dance concurrently training as a diversity facilitator, a counselor and as a cosmetologist at El Camino College.

On campus at Dominguez, she had the privilege of experiencing a true “communiversity”. She was also enriched by working as the youth arts director at Krst Unity Center of African Spiritual Science in Los Angeles, her home away from home. She is the CEO of Carina’s StudioTM, a private natural hair studio and boutique in Smyrna and choreographs musical theatre productions at The Children’s School in Atlanta. She is also launching a dance fitness and empowerment program called AfricopiaTM. She is joyfully married to Rod Brown, CEO of Native ComicsTM and home schools their three-year-old son Jhai.
